The forward-thinking Ibanez Axe Design Lab presents the SML721: a six-string electric guitar with a modern look and a feel that's entirely its own, which it owes to a satisfyingly fresh finish, a full set of twenty-four EVOgold fanned jumbo frets and a 25 to 25.5-inch multi scale length. As a result, the bass strings pack ample tension while the treble strings offer a tad more suppleness to ease bending and other tricks.

The SML721: Smooth Playability and a Stockpile of Sounds

To help speed up solos, Ibanez have opted for a slim Wizard neck profile combined with a 15.75-inch-radiussed rosewood fretboard. The nyatoh body shapes a full foundation sound and has been kept comfortably flat and rounded - much like other S-Series offerings. Meanwhile, the 5-way pickup switch flips through the flexible voicings of two Q58 passive alnico humbuckers, setting you up with a serious range of warmly amplified sounds, while the dyna-MIX10 switching system and included Alter switch give you another nine sounds to bring into play.
